Thursday Morning Bible Study and Prayer – Known as “Goldies”
This fun group meets for fellowship at 9.30am each Thursday. All are welcome to attend. The group have a time of hymn singing, a time of sharing, a time of prayer and a Bible study, followed by a shared sandwich lunch. They collect donations through the year and use the money to support some of our Missionaries. The Vision for Thursday Morning Bible Group is to share the love of God with others; to build each other up in the spirit of unity and understanding as part of God’s family; and to share the message of salvation with the lost.

Prayer Warriors

Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God. Our Church is a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty.  If you would like to be on either the phone or email prayer chain please give your details to the Prayer Chain Convener by emailing Cecelia at johnceceliat@gmail.com.

Kitchen
We have Morning Tea after our service and all are welcome to stay and enjoy a cuppa or cool drink whilst having a chat and time of fellowship.
We have a fellowship lunch (bring a plate of food to share) on the third Sunday each month from March to November.

Small Groups
We have a variety of small groups in the church that meet regularly at people’s homes. Sign-up for these groups occur for two weeks at the beginning of each term so make sure to attend a service during the school holidays if you’d like to join one. They’re a great opportunity to express the “one-anothers” to the body of Christ on a regular basis and be edified while doing it.

Emergency Food Pantry
We provide emergency food and hygienic supplies to people in the area that have unexpectedly run out of basic necessities. Our emergency food pantry exists to provide the gap needed to help before they can acquire a more solid and permanent solution to their problems through bigger charities and organisations than ourselves. An emergency can even include not having the transport to acquire food from a charity within the area. If you come across anyone with this need, please get them to text the phrase ‘HELP NEEDED PLEASE’ to 0408 989 131.

Fairhaven Nursing Home Chapel Service
On the 2nd Tuesday of each month, the Pastor with a group of volunteers from Fraser Coast Baptist Church visit Fairhaven down the road and minister to the folk there by providing a worship service consisting of singing, prayer, communion and special items (during school terms) from Bayside Christian College.

Prayer Meetings
We hold two prayer meetings a week at the church, which we invite anyone and everyone to join:

The first one being a pre-service prayer meeting at 9:15am in the creche.

The second one is a prayer walk held on Fridays (during the school term) at 3:30pm. We call it the BCC (Bayside Christian College) Prayer Walk where we literally walk around the church and school and pray for God’s mighty works to be accomplished on our grounds.

Ladies Fellowship
At present, our ladies fellowship is in recess as we pray about the future direction of this ministry or until God leads someone to lead this ministry. Currently, small groups are the primary way of discipleship within the ladies of the church.

Mens Ministry
At present, our mens fellowship is in recess as we pray about the future direction of this ministry or until God leads someone to lead this ministry. Currently, small groups are the primary way of discipleship within the men of the church.

Youth Group
Currently, the church doesn’t have a youth group or kid’s club. We recommend sending your child to Hervey Bay Baptist Church on a Friday evening if they’re interested in getting together with other like-minded kids. More details can be found on the Hervey Bay Baptist Church website.

Young Adults
Currently, the church doesn’t have a formal young adults group. They do however have a small group where they meet weekly for fellowship, prayer and bible study. Please speak with Ben Arndt if you’re interested in joining this group.
